Buy a firewall, tick the box, done – that is not how it works. Attacks almost always exploit known gaps for which a patch has long existed. IT security for SMEs is therefore an ongoing task, not a purchase.

No provider can promise absolute security, and anyone who does should raise suspicion. What managed security delivers is a systematically small attack surface and the ability to act when something happens: a documented environment, verified backups, clear responsibilities. The honest baseline comes from the infrastructure analysis, the strategic framing from IT consulting.
